Greenway Enterprise EHR Connection a Big Win for Payers, Providers

Moxe Health: 12.30.2025 2:28 PM
EHREnterprise EHRinteroperability

Historically, Moxe has most commonly connected to a given provider’s EHR instance. As of September 2025, however, our EHR-neutral network now includes a leading health information technology services provider, Greenway Health. The partnership between Moxe and Greenway provides huge value to payers with members who are seen at Greenway sites and to Greenway sites themselves–enabling them to be part of a centralized, secure digital clinical data exchange solution.

What does an enterprise EHR connection look like?

A single connection between Moxe and Greenway allows requestors to retrieve data from multiple Greenway sites with one request. Previously, requestors had to know at which Greenway site(s) their members were seen and query those sites individually, requesting charts via fax, email, phone, or mail. This process was not only time consuming and cumbersome for requestors, but Greenway providers often struggled to complete requests. Moxe is the first 100% digital clinical data exchange solution for Greenway providers.

How does the Moxe-Greenway connection change things for providers?

We’re starting to retrieve and send data from select “early adopter” Greenway sites so that the data retrieved can be reviewed and validated by Moxe, providers, and payers. Starting the partnership with a subset of Greenway sites allows us to fine tune technical specifications to ensure we are delivering the right data, at the right time, in the right format.

Looking beyond the early adopter phase, we’re thrilled that our Greenway connection has the potential to touch 55,000 providers, who serve approximately 100 million patients. Greenway sites can choose to opt in to the Moxe network by signing a data service agreement and being FHIR-enabled, which is increasingly a requirement for other services at Greenway. The short of it: It’s a very low lift for a site to opt in.

The transition to a centralized, secure release of information (ROI) workflow offers a significant advantage for Greenway sites. Before their partnership with Moxe, each Greenway site had to determine how they would fulfill ROI requests. Many sites are faced with a heavy manual lift, with limited or no dedicated ROI staff.

When Greenway sites opt in to the Moxe network, they are connecting to a network that’s purpose-built for security, compliance, and trust. By digitizing their ROI workflow, they are reducing the need for manual work and accelerating data workflows. Ultimately, the big win for providers is that by connecting to Moxe and automating a significant number of their ROI requests, they are enabling their team to focus on tasks where the human touch is required or most beneficial.

How does the Moxe-Greenway connection change things for payers and other requestors?

Ours is the first and only digital solution that directly connects with Greenway to retrieve and deliver clinical data. The Moxe-Greenway connection allows payers to obtain timely, accurate, and more complete clinical data directly from Greenway vs. having to query individual Greenway sites. This workflow removes the burden from payers and requestors for understanding at which Greenway site(s) their members were seen: Moxe handles the matching and retrieval through the single connection to Greenway.

The connection not only makes the comprehensive clinical record easier to obtain, it also improves record turnaround times and reduces friction between payers and Greenway sites. Payers will receive the data they need, when they need it, in their preferred format for Risk Adjustment, HEDIS®/Quality, and other use cases.

How does the Moxe-Greenway connection change things for Greenway?

Greenway is proud to partner with Moxe to build a trusted, transparent data bridge between payers and providers. The Moxe-Greenway partnership aligns with Greenway’s vision to shift the burden of healthcare administration from people to technology.

By embedding automated data exchange directly into their EHR workflows, Greenway is enabling its practices to securely and efficiently share clinical data with payers without extra portals, faxing, or manual rework. Ultimately, they are empowering providers to let automation handle administrative work so care teams can focus on people, not paperwork.

This partnership reflects Greenway’s commitment to helping practices work more efficiently, improve patient outcomes, and remain compliant. Greenway and Moxe share a desire to improve collaboration between payers and providers so that both can meet or even exceed their objectives.

Looking to the future

Because we see the power and potential of connecting at the EHR-level, we’re hopeful that Greenway will be Moxe’s first of many enterprise EHR connections.

As we move out of the early adopter and into the general availability phase–anticipated end of Q1 2026–we look forward to reporting back more specifically on how the Moxe-Greenway connection is achieving wins for both providers and payers.
