Moxe Extends Leadership in Clinical Information Exchange and Insights

Dan Wilson: 10.22.2020 10:27 PM
NewsPress Release

MADISON, WI—Moxe today announced its Substrate platform is the first to receive certification from CommonWell Health Alliance® to implement the forthcoming Payment & Health Care Operations (P&O) use case. Moxe will be one of the first CommonWell Service Adopters to leverage the nationwide CommonWell network to exchange payment and operations protected health information (PHI) on behalf of health plans and other qualified entities.

“This important milestone embodies our singular focus on being the best in connecting to all relevant sources of clinical data and enabling the effective and compliant sharing of that data,” said Dan Wilson, CEO and founder of Moxe. “We continue to lead in our ability to extract, transform, and share clinical data for specific use cases including risk, quality, payment and patient access as required by the 21st Century Cures Act.”

The new CommonWell use case is currently in the pilot phase. Once generally available, Moxe’s health plan clients, connected CommonWell members, and providers will be able to utilize Moxe’s growing network to satisfy record retrieval and release of information needs while complying with the ONC Information Blocking rule.

Moxe is first to receive Payment & Operations use case certification from CommonWell Health Alliance®

“CommonWell has built a valuable network and services that already enable widespread national exchange of clinical health data, and now is the time to expand that value to other entities,” said Paul Wilder, executive director of CommonWell Health Alliance. “We need expert partners like Moxe to help us reach this underserved area and ensure the new functionality is utilized to the fullest extent.”

“There is a pressing need to reduce clerical burden spent on the exchange of clinical data. Expanding the access of our network with CommonWell is a crucial step in evolving health information management,” said Wilson. “By connecting providers, patients and payers through a secure connection, we save time, increase bandwidth and ensure the delivery of data of the highest usable quality. Interoperability unlocks new ways to eliminate costs, deploy limited resources and form the foundation of a more sustainable healthcare system. Moxe is proud to contribute to this system-wide effort.”
